Helpdesk L1 Exec-Room Ticket Script

Most after-hours exec-room tickets are the same handful of failures. This is the first-touch sequence: what to check from the ticket before anyone drives, what a dead room usually is, and when the ticket stays in IT.

Why this exists

After 5, the person who takes the ticket is rarely the person who specified the room. They cannot see the codec from the parking lot, and they should not have to. Most exec-room failures are input, identity, or reachability. Driving first, or blaming Teams first, burns the hour you actually needed for the one case that is hardware.

What is in the PDF

Page 1 is the ticket worksheet: eight checks, write-ins, where the ticket goes next. The pages after that are the usual miss on each step and when it stays in IT.

This is not a wall chart

A roster of names does not tell night shift what to do. This script does. Put a named owner on the ticket after the first-touch exists. The named owner is who the script escalates to when the eight steps run out.

Bring us the room.

If last month's three repeat rooms still have no first-touch, bring one of those tickets. We will say whether this script is enough or you need the runbook for that room type.
